Under this effort, every impacted family was credited ₹15,000 directly into their accounts to support immediate recovery and essential needs.
The latest distribution builds upon the initial phase of the interim relief drive, where 64,891 families received a total of ₹97.38 crore directly into their bank accounts.
Parallel to the direct financial transfers, the administration has deployed a 1000 strength survey workforce across the region.
The surveyors are operating across Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Golaghat.
Surveyors have already evaluated ₹480 crore worth of flood damages.
The initial round of data collection, encompassing property destruction and livestock losses, is slated for completion by the end of this month.
All collected survey data will be uploaded to an official online portal, allowing affected families to inspect their recorded loss details.
To guarantee fairness and complete coverage, families dissatisfied with the outcomes of the initial survey round will be granted a second opportunity to report their damages. In such cases, surveyors will conduct doorstep visits to re-evaluate losses.
Additionally, the government has also announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹9 lakh to the next of kin of each person who died in the floods. The administrative process for processing and disbursing the compensation is currently underway.
