Assam Police Seize Yaba Tablets Worth ₹2.4 Crore in Cachar, Three Held


 

GUWAHATI: In another major crackdown on drug trafficking, Cachar Police recently seized 24,000 suspected Yaba tablets worth approximately ₹2.4 crore and arrested three persons in connection with the case.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the seizure in a post on X, commending the efforts of Cachar Police and Assam Police in the anti-narcotics operation.

"Another major bust in our fight against drugs. Cachar Police seized 24,000 suspected Yaba tablets worth around ₹2.4 crore and apprehended three persons. Commendable work by Assam Police," the Chief Minister wrote.

The latest operation is part of Assam Police's ongoing drive against narcotics trafficking in the state, with several major drug seizures reported in recent months.
