The temple had officially opened its doors for the annual pilgrimage season on Wednesday, April 22, drawing thousands of visitors in a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
The jaapi, a conical hat made from tightly woven bamboo and cane (tokou) leaves and decorated with colourful fabric, is a well-known symbol of Assamese heritage and tradition.
Meanwhile, in a strict move to preserve the sanctity of the shrine, authorities have imposed a complete ban on mobile phones within the temple premises. Devotees are not permitted to carry phones inside, and activities such as photography, videography, or making social media reels have been strictly prohibited.
Kedarnath Dham remains one of India’s holiest pilgrimage destinations, attracting thousands of devotees every year who visit the Himalayan shrine seeking spiritual solace.
