BJP President Nitin Nabin Offers Prayers at Kamakhya Temple during Assam Visit for NDA Government Swearing-In Ceremony


 

GUWAHATI: BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Tuesday, May 12, visited the Maa Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati with his family ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of the new Himanta Biswa Sarma-led Assam government.

After offering prayers, Nabin said the BJP-led NDA’s victory in the Assam Assembly elections was a result of the blessings of Maa Kamakhya and the faith placed by the people in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Speaking to reporters, he said the people of Assam had once again shown confidence in the BJP government under the leadership of Modi and Sarma. Nabin also expressed gratitude for getting the opportunity to visit the temple with his family before the oath-taking ceremony.

The swearing-in ceremony of the new Assam government was held on May 12 in Guwahati, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, several Union ministers, and chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from NDA-ruled states attending the event.

The ceremony follows the BJP-led NDA’s decisive victory in the Assam Assembly elections, securing a third consecutive term in the state. The alliance won 102 seats in the 126-member Assembly.

The BJP emerged as the largest party with 82 seats, while alliance partners Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) won 10 seats each.
