GUWAHATI: The Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) Fund received total donations of ₹1,279.9 crore in FY 2024-25, of which it spent only ₹87.85 lakh, amounting to 0.1% of the total amount received.

The PM CARES Fund’s official website published the reports for FY 2023-24 and FY 2024-25 on Tuesday, August 18, after failing to upload its annual disclosure since FY 2022-23.
The PM CARES Fund was registered as a Public Charitable Trust in March 2020 to support the nation during emergencies or distress situations.
As per the report for FY 2024-25, the PM CARES Fund received ₹480 crore in domestic donations and ₹92.8 lakh in foreign donations. Its overall closing balance now stands at ₹8,452.06 crore.
The closing balance for FY 2023-24 stood at ₹7,173.03 crore. In FY 2024-25, it increased by 17.8%.
However, of the total available balance of ₹8,452.06 crore, only ₹87.85 lakh, or 0.01%, was spent.
