NBFC company Satin Creditcare Network has launched a ₹1 crore flood relief initiative in Assam to support around 15,000 families affected by floods in Upper Assam districts.
A fleet of 15 vehicles carrying relief materials was flagged off on Thursday, August 6, marking the beginning of the distribution drive.
The programme will cover nearly 200 villages across Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat districts.
Relief materials, including mosquito nets, bedsheets, kitchen utensils, disinfectants, sanitary pads, bleaching powder, food supplies and drinking water, will be distributed among affected families to address immediate needs.
Around 150 employees of the company have been mobilised to assist with the coordinated distribution of relief materials.
Nekib Ahmed, Business Head – Northeast and West Bengal, said Assam has been an important part of the company’s journey and that the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting communities during crises.
The company has maintained a presence in Assam since 2017 and currently operates through its branch network across the state. Across the Northeast, Satin Creditcare Network operates 227 branches with around 2,500 employees.
