Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the verdict, calling it a strong endorsement of the NDA’s development and welfare-oriented governance in Assam.
In a post on X, Modi said, “Assam has once again given its full blessings to BJP-NDA,” adding that the victory reflects “the unwavering faith of the people in the politics of development and public welfare.”
He expressed gratitude to voters, referring to them as his “family members in Assam”, and assured that the government would continue working for the “all-round development of the state” and its long-term transformation.
Modi also lauded BJP-NDA workers for their extensive campaign efforts, saying they worked “day and night even amidst the scorching heat of Assam” to take the alliance’s message to the electorate. He noted that the organisation has significantly strengthened in the state over the past decade, ensuring that the alliance’s “positive agenda reaches the hearts of the people of Assam.”
Reiterating his message of continuity and development, the Prime Minister said the mandate highlights the people’s support for the alliance’s governance model and its focus on bringing positive change to the lives of citizens.
