GUWAHATI: Guwahati is set to get a major hospitality and events infrastructure boost with the upcoming ₹477 crore Assam Convention Centre-cum-State Guest House project along the Brahmaputra riverfront in Guwahati.

Designed as an integrated convention and hospitality complex, the project aims to strengthen the State’s capacity to host global conferences, government functions, cultural events and high-level business meetings.
The upcoming facility is expected to feature modern convention halls, premium accommodation, meeting spaces and hospitality amenities, positioning Guwahati as a key destination for large-scale national and international events in the Northeast.
The convention centre is also expected to contribute to economic activity by boosting tourism, hospitality, employment opportunities and allied sectors in the region.
Located along the Brahmaputra riverfront, the project is envisioned as a landmark development blending modern architecture with Assam’s expanding urban landscape.
