The plantation activity was one of the key highlights of a programme organised by Hima Mawphlang Multipurpose Primary Agriculture Credit Society (HMMPACS) and Earthtree, which brought together traditional leaders, students, local residents and environmental stakeholders.
The event focused on raising awareness about ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental practices. Speakers highlighted the need for collective efforts to protect forests, water sources and other natural resources, while stressing the importance of involving younger generations in conservation initiatives.
Students from local schools also participated in the programme, which concluded with a call for greater community involvement and collaboration in environmental protection efforts across the region.
