GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF) Assam raided the premises of an interstate drug dealer and recovered heroin worth around ₹80 crore, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted on X on Friday, August 14.

The drug dealer was arrested during the operation, according to the Chief Minister.
Sarma announced the seizure in a post on X, saying the operation was part of Assam Police’s efforts under the Centre’s Nasha Mukt Bharat mission.
The operation comes amid continued action by Assam Police against interstate drug trafficking networks operating in and through the state.
