The proposed employment initiative has been named "Nijuktir Natun Diganta".
According to the Budget, the proposed employment generation will cover government departments, universities, medical colleges, statutory bodies, societies, Sixth Schedule Councils and companies with substantial state government shareholding.
To prepare a roadmap for achieving the target, the government has already constituted a dedicated Task Force under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of the state.
The Budget also stated that the exercise is expected to facilitate timely promotions of existing employees, thereby creating more vacancies at the entry level for new recruitment.
In addition, the government will examine the creation of new posts in key sectors, including the police force, revenue administration, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, forest department and other revenue-generating departments.
Reaffirming the government's commitment to employment generation, the Finance Minister said the initiative is aimed at creating more job opportunities for the state's youth during the current government's tenure, in line with the promises made in its Sankalp Patra.
