According to the official notification, candidates seeking re-checking must apply online through the board’s official website, https://ahsec.assam.gov.in. The application process will begin two days after the declaration of results and will remain open for 15 days from the date of activation of the portal.

Applicants are required to select the subjects for which they seek re-checking and scanned copies, provide the necessary details, and pay a fee of Rs. 500 per subject. The fee must be paid through online mode only, and no offline applications will be accepted.

The board clarified that re-checking does not imply re-evaluation. The process will include re-totaling of marks, assessment of any unevaluated answers, and correction of errors in mark entries.

The results of the re-checking process will be declared within 30 days from the last date of application on the official website. In case of any change in marks, candidates will be issued revised certificates upon submission of the original mark sheet through their institution.

Candidates should note that if marks are reduced after re-checking, the revised lower marks will be treated as final.

Scanned copies of evaluated answer scripts will be sent to candidates via email. However, all identifying details of examiners and officials will be masked to maintain confidentiality.

The board has also issued strict guidelines prohibiting the use of scanned answer scripts for commercial purposes, public display, or sharing with media. Any violation may invite legal action.

Additionally, candidates must submit an undertaking agreeing to comply with all instructions. The board stated that answer scripts will not fall under the purview of the RTI Act until re-checking results are declared.

The ASSEB further clarified that incomplete applications or those submitted without the prescribed fee will be rejected, and the board’s decision regarding revised marks will be final and binding.
