According to a post by Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve on X, the initiative has connected 24 women farmers to an elevated-shed poultry farming system focused on antibiotic-free chicken production. The project is being implemented in partnership with Saraighat Farming Trust and Blue Planet Amalgamated LLP.

Under the programme, each beneficiary will receive 50 chicks along with feed, vaccination support and technical guidance. The birds will be reared for around 55 to 60 days under biosecure conditions, with an assured buy-back arrangement provided through Blue Planet Amalgamated, ensuring market access for participating farmers.

The project will be implemented in three batches. It also includes plans for establishing local processing facilities and strengthening infrastructure to support long-term sustainability.

The project seeks to promote clean meat production while strengthening local livelihoods. The post stated that the initiative is expected to contribute to household income generation, improve local food security and encourage community participation in conservation efforts around Kaziranga.

The programme is being supported by the Office of the Field Director, Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, and is designed as a community-led approach that combines livelihood development with biodiversity conservation.
