The board, in a circular issued on May 24, said the extension was granted to provide additional time for students facing difficulties while accessing the online system. The facility was earlier scheduled to close on May 24.
This is the third time CBSE has extended the deadline for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets amid continuing technical disruptions reported by students and parents during the post-result application process.
CBSE clarified that all other terms and conditions related to the post-result services will remain unchanged. It also stated that the schedule for verification of marks and re-evaluation requests will be announced separately. The board reiterated that the portal for re-evaluation applications will remain open for at least two days after the last scanned copy of an evaluated answer book is made available to applicants.
Several students reported login failures, unsuccessful submissions, payment gateway errors, and deductions of fees without confirmation of applications after the activation of this year’s post-examination review services.
In response to the growing concerns, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan directed technical experts from Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to assist CBSE in resolving the issues affecting the online system.
According to an official statement, the IIT teams will examine all technical glitches reported since the launch of the re-evaluation services. The experts have been tasked with improving portal stability, server performance, authentication systems, payment gateways, and the overall robustness of CBSE’s IT infrastructure.
The Ministry of Education said the intervention aims to ensure a transparent, efficient, and student-friendly re-evaluation process. The minister reiterated that student interests remain paramount and directed CBSE to undertake all necessary corrective measures on priority.
Earlier, CBSE had acknowledged that the portal was facing unusually heavy traffic and attempts of unauthorised interference, leading to temporary disruptions in online services. Despite the glitches, the board maintained that a significant number of applications had been processed successfully after the portal reopened.
CBSE has advised students to complete all applications only through official portals and avoid relying on unofficial links or unverified information circulating on social media platforms.
